Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 636, up to 6GB RAM launched in India starting at Rs. 13999


The advanced Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was also unveiled alongside the Redmi Note 5 today. It is the first Redmi phone to feature 18:9 display and dual rear cameras. Since it comes with stellar rear and front cameras, Xiaomi has dubbed the Note 5 Pro as “India’s camera beast.” Here is all the information available on its specifications, features and pricing


It has the same 5.99-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass screen and runs Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with MIUI 9.2 on top, but this is powered by Snapdragon 636SoC with up to 6GB RAM, has a 12-megapixel primary rear camera with 1.25μm pixel size sensor, dual-tone LED flash, same as the Redmi Note 5, but this also comes with a secondary 5-megapixel camera to capture the depth information for background blur. 


The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the first smartphone ever to be fueled by Snapdragon 636. It is also the first Redmi phone to be driven 6 GB of LPDRRX RAM. The SoC includes Kryo It will be coming in three variants like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colors, is priced at Rs. 13999 for the 4GB RAM version and the 6GB RAM version costs Rs. 16,999. Some of the leaks we have seen show a device with bezels much thinner than what is on the  Redmi 5  and  Redmi 5 Plus . We have also seen photos that reveal a dual-camera setup on the rear with a fingerprint scanner beneath. Every Xiaomi fan is looking forward to the release of the Redmi Note 5. One may even say Xiaomi enjoys keeping us waiting. While there has been no official confirmation of its release, there have been a number of leaks in addition to an alleged 3C certification.
