NEW DELHI: Ahead of the mega Indian Premier League ( IPL ) auction later this month, India's premier cash-rich T20 league on Thursday held its player retention ceremony in Mumbai. Most of the big names are retained by their respective franchises, but there are few surprises too. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) retained their skippers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma respectively, while MS Dhoni returned to Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Cricket will see a new dawn today, as T10 Cricket League, 10-over-a-side tournament, is all set to kick off in Sharjah. While the T20 format was introduced to make cricket more appealing, T10 aims to make the sport further entertaining. The franchise-based competition will be played in the UAE from December 14 to December 17.
