Redmi Note 5 has now received 3C certification in China, as per a report. The certification has been given to two models of the upcoming Redmi Note series smartphone that are listed as the Xiaomi MEE7S and MET7S. Honor confirmed that its upcoming smartphone in the Indian market will be Honor 9 Lite and will be available exclusively through online retailer Flipkart. The company had said that the phone will be launched in India later this month. Now, the China-based company has also revealed the phone’s launch date for the Indian market. The Honor 9 Lite will be launched in India on 17th January. The launch date was confirmed by a post on Honor’s official fan club page where the company confirmed hosting the launch event on 17th January. Xiaomi announced the Redmi 5A as the Desh ka Smartphone in late November and the device went on sale on December 7 via Flipkart and Mi.com through the flash sale model. A new leaked render of the Redmi Note 5 has been seen online. While it does share some similarities to the last one, it is also slightly different. The Redmi Note 5 is shown in the image above with very thin bezels. Much more smaller than what you have on the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. The bottom bezel is even thinner than that of the Mi MIX 2, which means the front camera and sensors sit at the top with the speaker. If the Redmi Note 5 were to launch with this design, it will be a contender for the mid-range phone with the highest screen-to-body ratio. On the rear, things are a bit more familiar. The design is still Redmi-like with silver antenna lines, curved sides, and the Mi logo. Where it does differ from the last leak is in the camera design. Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ have been leaked in new sets of renders, purporting to provide a 360-degree view of Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone duo. Rumors about HMD Global’s refreshed Nokia 6 smartphone surfaced recently. Even model number TA-1054 surfaced recently. Now the images of the smartphone has surfaced on TENAA showing a large display with minimal bezels, possibly hinting at a 18:9 ratio. It also has a long camera setup, similar to the Nokia 5 with Red or Orange accents. Antenna bands on the top and the bottom parts of the back are similar to the original Nokia 6. It also doesn’t have capacitive touch buttons below the display since there is no home button and the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back, between the camera module and the Nokia branding. We still don’t have specifications of the phone yet, but some rumors hint at the same 5.5-inch screen, but with a wide 18:9 aspect ratio so it could be FHD+ resolution.
