Xiaomi's popular budget smartphone Redmi 5A is available with cashbacks and card discounts at Big Bazaar offline retail stores during its Republic Day Sale. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A's 2GB RAM variant was launched in India at Rs. 4,999, and was available via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. The 3GB RAM variant was launched at Rs. 6,999, and soon after, made available at other offline retailers with a slight markup on the retailer's discretion. It now appears the 2GB RAM variant is available at some offline retailers like Big Bazaar at a price up to 5,499.  Future Pay wallet cashback of Rs. 1,000 is applicable on purchase as well as a 10 percent additional discount is valid on payment through Axis Bank credit and debit cards. The offer is valid from January 22 to January 28 or until stocks last. Samsung is expected to officially launch its Galaxy On7 Prime smartphone in India in the coming week. As we reported earlier this week, the smartphone is already listed on Amazon India along with its key features and specifications. According to Gadgets 360, the South Korean phone maker has now sent out media invites for an event slated for January 17 in Gurugram. As per the invite, we will witness the unveiling of "a smartphone that will transform your shopping experience." As for the innards, the handset seems to be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. There will be two variants of the Galaxy On7 Prime; one with 3GB RAM and 32GB default storage, and another with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Honor confirmed that its upcoming smartphone in the Indian market will be Honor 9 Lite and will be available exclusively through online retailer Flipkart. The company had said that the phone will be launched in India later this month. Now, the China-based company has also revealed the phone’s launch date for the Indian market. The Honor 9 Lite will be launched in India on 17th January. The launch date was confirmed by a post on Honor’s official fan club page where the company confirmed hosting the launch event on 17th January. In terms of looks, the Honor 9 Lite is very similar to the Honor View 10, with the only major difference being the placement of fingerprint sensor which is placed on the back. Xiaomi announced the Redmi 5A as the Desh ka Smartphone in late November and the device went on sale on December 7 via Flipkart and Mi.com through the flash sale model. Within 30 days of its release, Xiaomi Redmi 5A has achieved a milestone of 1 million units of sale in the country. The same was announced by the company's VP Manu Kumar Jain on his Twitter handle. A new leaked render of the Redmi Note 5 has been seen online. While it does share some similarities to the last one, it is also slightly different. The Redmi Note 5 is shown in the image above with very thin bezels. Much more smaller than what you have on the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus. The bottom bezel is even thinner than that of the Mi MIX 2, which means the front camera and sensors sit at the top with the speaker. If the Redmi Note 5 were to launch with this design, it will be a contender for the mid-range phone with the highest screen-to-body ratio. On the rear, things are a bit more familiar. The design is still Redmi-like with silver antenna lines, curved sides, and the Mi logo. Where it does differ from the last leak is in the camera design. There are still two sensors but both share the same housing. There is also no LED flash separating the sensors and the fingerprint scanner.
